whatever makes you happy

your birthday is in just a few short weeks! im so excited to watch you continue to become a toddler but it doesnt make me sad just a bit. i try to savor every moment with you because i know i'll never get it back. when your sleeping && i get in to bed after work, i just look at you with the biggest smile! looking at you make me feel like everything is perfect && life is good. i cant wait for you to feel like that. just pure happiness.
gosh you really are the smartest baby i know :) yesturday you were laying on your belly trying to text on grandma's blackberry.... you wrote "oi" i was very proud. when we tell you things you understand most things. when your eating you try to share with dora even though you know better. when i say to please dont do that we eat our food not play with it, you do your squishy face && smile at me untill i laugh. i try so hard to stay serious, to show you i mean what i say, but i always end up laughing. you burst out with a HAHA knowing what you've just accomplished. rylie please be nice when your a big girl.... hopefully i'll get better at staying serious but honestly i'd say yes to everything your little heart desires. i find that lots of time daddy tries to take things away from you && then i tell him to give it back, whatever makes you happy. bad habit forming i know.
every single thing you do is just the cutest thing ive ever seen. the way you wrap you little smushy arms around my neck && the kisses you give me, its all so cute. i love when your in the bath and your just a little happy baby playing && smiling. i love when you play peek-a-boo && when you play tug of war with the dog. you are growing up so much.
you really like laying your head on my tummy so yesturday while i was reading you love you forever  at nap time you fell asleep that way. i didnt realize at first because i was too busy crying, that book has always made me cry....even in second grade when i first heard it. you'll most likely be a crier like grandma && i.
daddy is about to get up for work which means so are you. thats always fun.

let me tell you the story of how we met.

i was in eighth grade &&

i had a friend, kerianne, who had a crush on this

cute older boy.

so we went to the park

to hangout with him.

honestly it was love at first sight.

daddy was sitting on a bench

with his cool guy glasses.

we attempted tennis...

wow tennis is definiatly not my thing.

i would hit the ball way far &&

he would go run after it...every time.

our first photo together.

the day we took that photo daddy tried to kiss me

but i wouldnt let him.

he still tells me that i should have so that

way i would have been his first kiss.

but if i had who knows where we would be today.

after "going out" twice, which really should just be

called talking on the phone/internet,

we finally got together in 2007.

march 24 2007 to be exact.

sound familiar??

yes thats your birthday, yes i didnt realize it till

2 months after you were born.

we were just too young the first few times

&& had no idea what we wanted.

funny thing is the years in between we always

had a thing for each other.

i subconsiously always found him in the quad,

or on the field.

&& daddy always told his friends how

much he wished he i would be his girlfriend.

Dear Rylie,

this is for you my chunky monkey,

which by the way makes you that much cuter.

your 6 months && 4 days old today.

so this is a little late to start but ill go way

back to the begining so that way you wont miss a thing.

actually i'll go back before that so you can see a little

bit about us before you were even a

twinkle in our eyes.

besides pictures && stories

i might add in some advice here && there

or things i think will be of use to you

someday.

although i wish i could just learn everything the

hard way && somehow you'll skip

all of that, but i know it doesnt work

that way. you have to learn for yourself.

at least this way you can see that mommy's arent

always perfect like we wish we could

be. but i promise i sure will try my hardest

to be the the best mommy i can be.

&& just know you are my whole world.
